trip to Goa

We have not long returned from a great trip to Goa. We were only there for a few days but it was a welcome break. We feel the best way to share this with you is with some of the photo's we have.

Journey from airport, no hassle!! about 20 mins clear roads 'no jams'!!!

by the way we are not on the train, it  is the Sleeper from Bangalor according to our driver.

Arrive at hotel looks great only opened in December2009. We go one way the bags go another, have to be scanned, sign of the times. We are asked to sit in reception, looks OK! what do you think?

Lovely room, with a BATH, only had shower's since we have been here. There is also shower.

Every picture tells a story. Plus the view from the balcony.

The gorgeous pool! it did not take us long to get in there it was so warm,
each end of the pool, paddy fields to the left our apartment block to right.  

All in a days work, but someone has to do it!!!!!!

We were a few hundred yards from the beach. there was a free shuttle service, or you could walk.
The sand was so white after the sand at Torrox i had forgot how white it can be. those of you in Spain will know what i mean.
Our little friend (the dog) had his shady spot every day.

 

The sea was a bit rough, but very warm. It was great fun 'jumping' the breakers, especially with the help of a local Indian guy, he kept shouting "hold my hand madam" I was reluctant, until a big wave knocked me over, then i had great fun with my new found friend. Keith tried but it was a bit too rough.

This is Alec's place, the best sea food ever!!! we found it on our way to the beach,  the picture to right does not do justice to the view of the ocean in the back ground.

Just to show you there's not much fish or lobster left!

We went back the next day and I had giant tiger prawn's like those to the right of the plateThey were GORGEOUS. Keith being the carnivore went for his steak, and enjoyed it.

I left Keith there the second night he watched the blues on TV with a couple of footie fans we met there the night before. I went back to the hotel for a massage, 'heavenly'.
